1. The RocketRAID 1640 adapter is not recognized by the com-

puter after inserting it into the PCI slot.

If the card is detected by the system the following screen will be displayed when the

computer is starting up:

If the above screen does not appear, the adapter is not recognized by the system.

Open the computer's chassis, and check for the following:

1) Whether or not the adapter has been securely installed into the PCI slot.

2) If necessary, try using another PCI slot.

After securing the adapter, replace the computer case and power on the system.

2. The hard disk connected to adapter can not be detected out.

After the RocketRAID 1640 adapter is recognized by the system, the adapter's BIOS

will start to scan for hard disk drives. If drives are detected, the following information

will be displayed:

1 2 ... 51 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 61 62 63
